Russian Music Studies

Works in Russian Music Studies are devoted entirely to the music of Russia, including music history, biography, criticism, theory, and performance practice--in short, the full range of scholarly inquiry in music--and present not only current original scholarship but also newly annotated translations and reprints of classic studies in the field. To take in the grand sweep of Russian music, the series will include works on the pre-Revolutionary empire, the Soviet state, post-Soviet Russia, and areas that have been under Russian or Soviet dominion.
