Music and the Early Modern Imagination

Music and the Early Modern Imagination invites the work of scholars interested in interdisciplinary approaches to early modern music - broadly defined as ranging from the 14th through the early 18th centuries. The series emphasizes studies that center on highly specific topics - single works or their equivalent, important concepts, single events, or important texts in music history - and considers them from a broad spectrum of approaches, from cultural history to specific critical modes like gender, politics, sexuality, patronage, subjectivity, voice, and a variety of literary approaches. Inquiries and submissions may be sent to series editor Massimo Ossi at mossi@indiana.edu. You may also contact IU Press Sponsoring Editor Raina Polivka at rpolivka@indiana.edu.
