Historical Performance

Historical Performance invites studies in music history and performance studies of music before ca. 1800, including performance practice, organology, and cultural studies. The series is sponsored by the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music Historical Performance Institute, which offers a comprehensive program in historical performance practice with additional focus on archival materials and theoretical studies. For more great scholarship on early performance studies see the IU Press journal Historical Performance.

To submit a proposal or manuscript, please contact series editor Dana Marsh (dtmarsh@indiana.edu) and Acquisitions Editor Janice Frisch (frischj@indiana.edu).
