Examination Copy Policy
College and university faculty in the US and Canada may request exam copies of books for consideration as course texts. Requests for exam copies should be sent on departmental letterhead, stating title of book, instructor’s name, title of course for which the book is being considered, and complete ship-to address including phone number.
Examination copies are limited to no more than three books per semester. Examination copies of CDs and DVDs are not available.
Desk Copy Policy
College and university instructors are entitled to one complimentary desk copy of any book adopted for course use if 10 or more copies have been ordered by the college bookstore and the instructor has not previously received a desk or examination copy. We cannot provide "desk copies" for use in departmental or institutional libraries.
Requests for desk copies should be sent on departmental letterhead or on a standardized university desk copy request form, and should include the title of book, instructor's name, title of course, semester and projected course enrollment, whether book is a required or recommended text, and name of bookstore and date text order was placed.
Requests for exam or desk copies can be received via mail, fax or as a pdf attachment emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org
