Journal of Feminist Studies in Religion

The Journal of Feminist Studies in Religion, the oldest interdisciplinary, inter-religious feminist academic journal in religious studies, is a channel for the publication of feminist scholarship in religion and a forum for discussion and dialogue among women and men of differing feminist perspectives. Its editors are committed to rigorous thinking and analysis in the service of the transformation of religious studies as a discipline and the feminist transformation of religious and cultural institutions.

The Journal of Feminist Studies in Religion welcomes a variety of contributions that focus on women's experience or on gender as a category of analysis and that further feminist theory, consciousness, and practice. We are looking for material of several types and formats: scholarly, critical, and constructive articles, review essays (recent literature on a given topic), reports of significant feminist projects related to religion, liturgies, poetry, letters, and ideas for roundtable discussions.
